The DANELECTRO The 64 Guitar (DAQ) solid body electric guitar is a close reinterpretation of the original Mosrite Ventures model (one of the prettiest solidbody shapes ever), with some twists (really nice neck shape, versatile pickup configuration with an hybrid P-90/Jazzmaster neck pickup, and splitable double Lipstick bridge pickup).Danelectro’s Korea-built ’64 largely dispenses with the idea of melding “Mosrite-ness” and “Danelectro-ness,” favoring a much more literal re-interpretation of Moseley’s ’60s designs. The result is a fun-to-play, uniquely expressive guitar that can range from scuzzy to smooth.
