The REVV AMPLIFICATION G4 Distortion v2 is an organic & responsive high gain distortion pedal designed for player that like a thick low end & endlessly sustaining solos. It’s well-suited to a wide variety of applications & genres with a unique smooth saturation & chewy character you can really dig into with your picking hand.This V2 circuit revision adjusted the mids for additional clarity even when you’ve scooped your tone, as well as adding additional versatility in the lower gain ranges for a smooth transition from low to medium gain settings especially when using your guitar’s volume knob.The G4 utilizes the 3 Aggression voices from Revv Generator tube amplifiers. In Red mode you’ll get the most distortion & the easiest feel under the fingers: a go-to for many lead guitarists. Blue is great for thick wall-of-sound rhythm tones. Due to its bass response & smooth voicing, with the switch off G4 actually excels as a low/medium gain “cranked amp” oldschool overdrive.The G4 has a lot of gain on tap, so don’t be afraid to set the Gain knob quite low if it’s working for you. You can run the Bass high if you’re going to boost G4 with an overdrive, but we otherwise find the sweet spot to be 9:00-12:00 for most players using humbuckers. It’s a simple & toneful all-analog pedal that runs on traditional isolated 9 volt center negative power supplies.
