Origin Effects maintains the original designation of Kilocycles per second, although the term kHz is now common. This versatile mid boost is not only compatible with all types of guitars and pickups, but it also enriches your guitar tone by adding saturation ranging from midrange overdrive to powerful distortion, depending on your settings. The MID and DRIVE controls allow you to set the ideal mix between midrange gain and overdrive.A notable innovation is the adaptive circuit integrated into the CUT control, which reduces treble loss and facilitates the transition between warm overdrive and bright, clean tones. By adjusting the guitar volume or changing your playing style, you can achieve a smooth sound (in ADAPT Off mode, turning the CUT control to the right gradually attenuates the treble). In addition, the M-EQ Driver Black Edition is equipped with a transformer circuit for increased harmonic richness, an ultra-high input impedance, a push/pull output and a quality buffer (buffered bypass circuit).
