The WA-MPX is an authentic reproduction of a tube preamp from the tape recording era – Discreet handcrafted construction with 3 tubes – Selectable tape saturation setting, adding natural harmonic distortion and compression – 90dB of gain – Custom wound large core CineMag USA transformers – Mic input: 600Ω transformer (6000Ω nominal) – Mic input with “Tone” engaged: 150Ω (1500Ω) transformer – Premium (2X) 12AX7 & (1X) 12AU7 vacuum tubes – 600Ω output attenuator – High Gain control provides an additional 20db gain (from 70db to 90db) for low output mics and low volume sources – 48v phantom power for low volume sources – 80Hz high-pass filter to control low frequencies – 2kHz low-pass filter to focus power and warmth of the preamp on the midrange for more punch – Inputs: XLR Mic, TS Instrument & TRS Line – Outputs: XLR / TRS line level – VU meter for level indication – Frequency response: 20Hz-20kHz – Aluminium faceplate, steel chassis and vintage bakelite knobs – Internal IEC 115v/230v power supply socket
