EASTMAN Double Top DT30D Dreanought acoustic steel string guitar, features Sitka Spruce/Nomex/Sitka Spruce top, solid Rosewood back/sides, Mahogany neck, Ebony fingerboard and nitrocellulose finish. Double top guitars use a Nomex core, a kevlar polymer originally developed for the aviation industry. Nomex gets sandwiched between two layers of Spruce, Cedar, or a combination of these two woods. Nomex is a pretty amazing material to work with, with a much higher stiffness to weight ratio for optimum responsiveness (similar to the best Spruces).
