Sending the digital audio signal directly to the camera via the accessory shoe eliminates the need for a second conversion step, which can add noise or distortion. Furthermore, there is no longer any need to resynchronize image and audio in post-production. The CA-XLR2d is powered by a compatible camera via its active accessory shoe, eliminating the need for an additional power supply. Your setup remains compact and simple (compatible manufacturers: Canon, Fujifilm).Use the microphones and other sources you need for your sessionThe CA-XLR2d is so flexible that it can be easily used with the microphones or other audio sources you need during your shoot. The passive shoe on the top, for example, is vibration-resistant and noise-free, allowing you to attach your microphone, receiver, or wireless transmitter. Two combo input connectors (XLR/6.35 mm TRS jack) and a 3.5 mm stereo input connector are available, allowing you to connect virtually any dynamic or condenser microphone, whether handheld, shotgun, lavalier, or otherwise.Built-in processing with intuitive control for the best recording qualityThe built-in audio processing functions include Auto-Level, a low-cut filter, and a limiter. These functions are accessible via convenient switches. The CA-XLR2d also allows both input channels to be linked, allowing you to simultaneously control the input gain, level, and limiter settings on both left and right channels when recording in stereo.The audio quality is excellent, thanks to professional-grade electronics, 16- or 24-bit digital resolution, and 48 or 96 kHz sampling rates.Get high-quality audio without switching cameras.Don’t worry if your current camera’s accessory shoe can’t handle digital audio signals or power the Tascam XLR Microphone Adapter. The CA-XLR2d-AN Analog Kit works with any camera with an analog audio input. Attach the included battery holder (two LR6 AA batteries) and connect the analog output of the CA-XLR2d to the camera’s mic input via the included stereo audio cable. This gives you the benefit of high-quality mic preamps and audio processing features, which significantly improve the sound of your movies.
