The Gotoh SG381 tuning machine is a modern, high-quality tuner at a great price! It features a 16:1 gear ratio for precise, accurate tuning and a die-cast enclosure that is permanently sealed and lubricated for years of smooth operation.

Gotohs SG381s are their standard “135 mounting” machine heads, offering up all the stability, reliability and finishing that you’d expect from Gotoh with a minimum of compromise when it comes to performance vs. price.

Magnum Lock Traditional tuners combine the popular Gotoh 381 tuning mechanism with the extremely useful Magnum Lock toplocking function. For this, the string is simply pulled through the axle as usual and then clamped via the screw mechanism at the tip of the winding axle. This means that fewer axle windings are required and the instrument becomes tuneable far more quickly after a string change.
