2 Bb Trumpets | F Horn | Trombone | Bass Trombone | Tuba | [Percussion 1] Crotales, Drum Set, 3 Suspended Cymbals, 4 Toms, Tam-tam | [Percussion 2] Crotales, 3 Rin, Wind Chimes, Timpani, Tam-tamCommissioned by Bridgestone Symphonic Band Kurume and completed in the fall of 2016. “Alba” means dawn, the end of night and start of day. This has something to do with music, and many great men discuss this. It would be unnecessary to refer to it again here. This is a suite at dawn. I compiled some small motifs related to dawn and assembled them as a loop. It would be great if you could create a new dawn by your performance. (Jerry Grasstail)
