The CL 2A from Tube-Tech is an entirely tube-based two-channel opto compressor/limiter intended for all types of stereo applications.The CL 2A is composed of two independent optical compressors whose gain reduction cell is placed just after the input transformer in the circuit and followed by an all-tube output amplifier having a gain of +10dB. A three-position switch (Link 1, Off, Link 2) is used to use the two compressors independently or when you want to link several machines together. The two link buses are identical.Inputs and outputs are symmetrical and floating on transformers with static screens between primary and secondary winding. The power supply and side-chain circuit are based on transistor circuits. With the exception of the output stage, all voltages are stabilized.
