It is built on Antelope Audio’s renowned technology, Acoustically Focused Clocking (AFC), and utilizes innovative analog circuits powered by a multi-stage linear power supply, original design, to deliver unparalleled digital sound clarity and analog realism.

A/N Conversion

The renowned Burr-Brown (TI) PCM4222 A/N converter is unmatched in terms of sound quality and performance. The carefully optimized analog conversion stage allows for overload control, contributing to the creation of a distinct analog sound and finer clipping.

Headphone Amp

The high-end headphone amp is driven by a dedicated N/A converter, providing ease of use and increased routing flexibility. The separate DAC offers the option to monitor a secondary source, in addition to the main outputs.

N/A Conversion

N/A conversion in Pure2 is achieved through a Dual-DAC architecture based on separate DAC chips for the left and right channels. The Dual-DAC design significantly improves signal-to-noise ratio and stereo track quality.

Monitoring

Pure2 utilizes Antelope’s high-quality analog volume control. It features a stepped relay attenuator with 0.05dB precision, providing ideal monitoring transparency through the main outputs.

Master Clock

Conversion timing and synchronization of all digital studio devices are kept stable by the AFC system on 4th generation 64-byte jitter management and by the thermostatically controlled quartz oscillator. This is the same technology found at the core of Antelope’s most famous master clock, Isochrone Trinity, and best-selling AN/NA converter, Orion32. Equipped with multiple Word Clock outputs, Pure2 can serve as a master clock for an entire studio and can be synchronized to Antelope’s renowned 10M atomic clock for enhanced synchronization stability.

The device includes a digital control panel (software compatible with Mac and Windows) allowing users to manage all device functions from a computer.
